Albert Court
with Sophie Paterson
Bespoke kitchen joinery manufactured as part of a full residential project in South Kensington, designed by Sophie Paterson. Rich materials and meticulous detailing define this kitchen — from the painted cabinetry to the carefully selected hardware. The result is a timeless space that sits perfectly within the fabric of this distinguished building.
The Brief
Sophie Paterson's design for this Albert Court apartment required kitchen cabinetry that complemented a wider scheme of refined elegance. The kitchen needed to feel like it belonged in the building — classic in proportion, rich in material quality, and finished to a standard that could withstand close inspection.
The Design
Painted cabinetry in a warm, muted tone creates a sense of understated luxury. Panelled door fronts, carefully proportioned cornicing and traditional butt hinges give the kitchen a timeless quality. The hardware was selected to complement the wider interior scheme, with aged brass handles and cup pulls adding warmth.
